Nyebro Cash — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 10 September 2026
This Policy explains how Nyebro Cash (“Nyebro”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use our website, phone app, and loan services in Ghana. It should be read with our Terms and Conditions.
We handle personal data under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). This page is a business template, not legal advice.
1. Who we are
Nyebro Cash is the operator of nyebro.com and the Nyebro phone app. For privacy questions, use Support on the website or the contact details published there.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use Nyebro, we may collect:
- Account: name, email, phone, password or OTP login (including Digits), referral code.
- KYC: Ghana Card number and name, date of birth, voter ID image, region and town, GhanaPost GPS / digital address, selfie or face check, digital signature, guarantor names and mobile numbers.
- Loan and money: applications, amounts, due dates, repayments, wallet, MoMo or bank payout details, payment-provider references.
- Device and app: IP address, browser, app install, crash/offline status, notification permission, optional contacts you pick (for example a guarantor).
- Messages: SMS, email, WhatsApp, and in-app notices we send (due reminders, OTP, approvals).
We do not ask children under 18 to register.
3. Why we use your data
- Create and secure your account, including registration approval if we enable it.
- Verify identity (Ghana Card name match, documents, selfie) and prevent fraud.
- Assess credit, set a credit limit, approve or decline loans.
- Disburse and collect money (wallet, Flutterwave, Payaza, MoMo, bank).
- Send due-date alerts, receipts, and service messages.
- Pay referral rewards when you use a valid invite link.
- Meet legal, audit, and dispute needs.
4. Who we share data with
We share only what is needed with:
- Payment partners (for example Flutterwave, Payaza, mobile-money networks, banks).
- SMS, email, and WhatsApp providers (for example mNotify).
- Hosting and WordPress on our servers (including Hestia or similar).
- Staff (loan officers, support) who review KYC and loans.
- Guarantors, only as needed for an application or arrears.
- Regulators, courts, or police when the law requires it.
- A licensed credit bureau, where the law allows.
We do not sell your data for unrelated advertising.
5. Cookies, app, and camera
We use cookies and similar storage for login, referral links (lm_ref), theme (light/dark), and app install. The phone app (PWA) may store pages offline and a KYC draft on your device. Camera is used only if you start face verification. Notifications and contacts are used only if you allow them.
6. How long we keep data
Account and KYC stay while your account is open. Loan, payment, and collection records are kept for as long as Ghana law and our audit needs require after the loan is closed — often several years. You may ask us to close an account; we may retain records we must keep.
7. Security
We use access controls, HTTPS, and staff permissions. No system is perfectly secure. Keep your OTP, PIN, and password secret. Tell us quickly if you think your account was misused.
8. Your rights (Act 843)
Subject to the law and our need to keep loan records, you may request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong.
- Object to some processing, or ask for deletion where the law allows.
Use Support to make a request. We may need to verify it is you. You may also contact the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
9. International processing
Some providers (payments, SMS, hosting, analytics) may process data outside Ghana. We use them only to run the service.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
By ticking “I agree” on register or apply, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy together with the Terms and Conditions.
